This is beautiful, Sarah. A friend in LA just sent me a box of lemons from her tree, which makes me feel very rich indeed. As does wearing the right perfume.
🥹 So moving and beautiful. Thank you(and Boo). Riding my bicycle to my little plot at the community garden and clipping some flowers to bring home and create little arrangements to spread around my apartment.
My riches: Morning snuggle sessions. Sailing my beetle cat. Learning and sharing cheese stories. My kids growing up with both sets of grandparents. Island living. Ocean breezes. Uninterrupted reading time.
Driving Laurel Canyon (any canyon) at twilight with all the windows rolled down listening to "Summer Breeze"
The first bite of filet mignon pho from Mama Hong's when I'm sick
The crickets chirping around my Miracle Mile apartment in the summer, sometimes they make their way in and loudly wake me up (fun fact, my name last name means cricket)
An incredible gift to the world. A joy to read. A joy to have known you since we were children and watched life unfold no matter how it is, no matter how far away we’ve grown, or satellited. Thanks for the inspiration! 💕
Beautifully said, Sarah. Being able to witness peoples’ transformations makes me feel rich. Embracing my own transformations. First swim in the sea in summer when the water isn’t quite warm enough but the sun is searing. Foraging wild mulberries or capers on the side of a mountain road somewhere. It’s the little things. 🩵🧿

So wealthy when you have homegrown lemons 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽
Sobbing at the idea of this. Rich indeed. Excited to savor this ✨
Time with you, meals with you, life with you makes me rich. Love you and love Double Cream. 💕
Dirty martinis with you 🍸🍸
Beautifully written 🤍
So beautifully written... I loved reading this. Rich- feeling the sunshine on my back while I walk, watching the ocean move, baking cookies.
Sunshine on your back 💫💫
Holding you in my heart, Sarah. Spending time with my kids, and being able to pull away from work as needed to do so, truly makes me feel rich.
Sending a letter or postcard to family and friends back home.
The stillness of a city early in the morning when everyone is still waking up.
Dancing in the kitchen with my daughter as we get ready for the day.
My journey with grief has been both magical and heartbreaking. 🤍
Stillness and dancing in the kitchen and 💌!!
A long dinner outside with my nearest and dearest contributing to the dinner and enjoying it tightly squeezed in next to me at the table.
